This is not the first time Williams has shown she is a rebel on the court. Here are her top 5 most rebellious moments.
5.) BRIDESMAIDS TENNIS- Maria Sharapova struck Williams with the tennis ball during their match in the 2007 Australian Open. Although Williams was ahead 5-0, the body shot provoked Williams to give Sharapova the death glare and mouth a no-so-friendly word about her opponent.

4) SERENA ANGRY - During her match with newcomer Sloan Stephens at the semi-final of the 2013 Australian Open, Serena proved why her serve is such a monster. After hitting the ball out, Williams smashed her raquet against the court, leaving it in pieces and earning Williams a code violation.

3.) IT WAS 'SO IN!!!'- Williams was not afraid to defy the chair umpire after one of her balls was called out during her 2004 quarterfinal match at the U.S. Open. With her hands on her hips, Williams marched up to the umpire and told her, "That ball was SO IN!!." Who can blame her?

2.) HATERADE- Williams again went after the chair umpire at the 2011 U.S. Open final after her point was given to her opponent, Sam Stosur as a result of yelling before the ball touched the ground or "improper yell". This prompted Williams to call the umpire "a hater" and "ugly on the inside".

1.) RUNNING FOR HER LIFE - In perhaps the biggest upset, an infuriated Williams allegedly told the line judge she would kill her after she called a foot fault against Williams in the 2009 Semi-Final at the U.S. Open. After the call, Williams yelled at the line judge (who looked terrified) more than once. The judge ran to the chair umpire to explain what happened. The violation cost Williams, the match, her chances at a title and about $400,000 in fines.
