Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun stands in the dugout before a baseball game against the Pittsburgh Pirates in Pittsburgh in September.
Milwaukee Brewer all-star Ryan Braun's name is allegedly found on three records from the Miami clinic involved the recent performance enhancing drugs investigation. According to The New York Times report, Braun is reported to owe the clinic $20,000 to $30,000.
A year ago, Braun successfully became the first player to appeal a PED investigation, acquitting the set 50-game suspension.
According to the Times, Braun’s connection with the Miami report is associated with the February investigation.
Braun issued his own denial on Tuesday night, saying in a written statement that during the course of preparing for the appeal of his positive test last year, “my attorneys, who were previously familiar with Tony Bosch, used him as a consultant.” He said Bosch answered questions for his lawyers about testosterone levels and the possibilities of tampering with urine samples.
Braun assures that his name is only listed under “money owed,” and not on any lists involving the distribution and use of Anthony Bosch’s PEDs.
