We don’t know enough about world religion in America.
The Christian Science Monitor came out with a quiz that tests religious knowledge.
Christians continue to be some of the most ignorant people on the planet. I can say this because I am an evangelical Christian.
I was surfing around the Christian Science Monitor website and came across a quiz that was titled “Are You Smarter Than An Atheist?”
Always up for a challenge, I decided to try my hand at the quiz.
As I moved through the 32 questions, nothing seemed to be too crazy. There were questions based on Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and Atheists. All the questions ask the test taker to place holy days with the right religion, and place famous people in the right belief.
The real surprise came at the end when the site gave the stats of the quiz.
“Atheists and agnostics, Jews and Mormons are among the highest-scoring groups in a 32-question survey of religious knowledge by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. On average, Americans got 16 of the 32 questions correct. Atheists and agnostics got an average of 20.9 correct answers. Jews (20.5) and Mormons (20.3). Protestants got 16 correct answers on average, while Catholics got 14.7 questions right.”
I personally got 29 out of 32 correct. I challenge all readers to take this quiz and test your knowledge about religion.
