In this Jan. 8, 2013 file photo, J.J. Abrams arrives at the Winter TCA Fox All-Star Party at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, Calif.

There will be a movie from the book about the rise and fall of Lance Armstrong. However before the book Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong hasn't even been published, yet J.J. Abrams' production company owns the rights to direct the movie. Abrams has directed the Star Trek reboot as well as created shows like Lost and Alias. He is also set to make the next Star Wars movie.

It is not a surprise that there will be a movie about the scandal that has surrounded Armstrong. Whenever someone famous has been caught doing something wrong the movie industry loves to take advantage of the situation.

He has also said that he has talked with Bradley Cooper to play the lead role. However Cooper says that he has not talked to his former Alias director about the film. Either he is doing a really good job playing ignorant or Abrams is trying to help make sure the movie is made by using a big name.

Usually when someone makes a movie about a big scandal it will be the next Lifetime movie. However this time they have a box office director for the film. I don't know if Armstrong should be flattered or worried that they are making this big of a deal about him.
