Puppies fight for the touchdown.

For those who are tired of all the regular human football, Animal Planet has got something in story for animal lovers.

For the past nine years Animal Planet has hosted a puppy bowl, dedicated to satisfying puppy lovers everywhere with overwhelming amount of tug-o-wars.

The Puppy Bowl is meant to mimic the national televised Superbowl except, of course, this bowl has puppies. The Puppy Bowl, like most sporting events, will have a medic (veterinarian) on site, along with referees, and penguin cheerleaders.

Who needs Bruno Mars when you could have a half time show filled with curious, playful, kittens and flashing lights.

Puppy Bowl X will also have hamsters watching from the skybox.

What would a sport be without a fantasy league? Puppy players are available to the public for virtual choosing in a virtual came.

Puppy Bowl X will be airing on Animal Planet this Sunday just hours before the 48th Superbowl. Superbowl XLVIII will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
