Pop cap has just announced its 25 millionth download since its release for the iPhone on Aug. 15. Plants vs. Zombies 2 is a game animated enough to appeal to a child, yet attract adults with a feasible the amount of strategic planting.
The game picks up right where the first game left off: at Crazy Dave’s house. With its new graphics and weapons, like the quadruple peashooter and double Cherry Bomb, Plants vs. Zombies 2 has satisfied its players. The game begins with Crazy Dave indulging in a taco straight from his refrigerator. He has a taste for another taco. Instead of making another or buying one, he decides to use his time machine that he refers to as “Penny”. While playing this game, players will discover different properties of a well fed plants. Each world has its own themed zombies like mummified and pirate zombies.
Some worry that games could get too “young” for its original audience. In reference to the possibility of a Kingdom Hearts 3, blogger, Megan Pearson, said “As time passes, I fear that we’re getting too old…” Sequels sometimes have a hard time hitting the public as well as the original creation “…it was believed that if such a good game could do so poorly that it meant gamers simply weren’t interested in the genre anymore, ” Pearson said. The first Plants and Zombies does not enable the player to go back on their progress. Very small details, such as the way the zombies walk have been tweaked.
There is also a new game layout. There is a feature that not only makes viewing your progress possible, but it also allows you to play a previous level via the new World Map. Crazy Dave’s mannerisms are the same and he is much more animated.
Released in 2009, the first Plants vs. Zombies Crazy Dave tells the player to help him protect his home. The battlefield is his backyard. The first game begins in the backyard where players must collect “sun” to power their plants. With defensive and offensive plants, one is given the ability to fight and defend yourself from getting your brains eaten by various zombies. The only locations were his yard and the roof however, in the sequel, creators have made it possible for gamers to have the plants and zombies experience in other locations: Ancient Egypt is one of them.
Plants vs Zombies 2 has not yet been adapted for Android, but is available on iPhone. If they decide to release PvZ 2 on Android, the downloads would continue to increase drastically. Creators have included in-app offers that you can purchase. The game is absolutely free to download on iOS, or iPhone Operating Systems.
