The man responsible for Superman based film “Man of Steel”, Zack Snyder has confirmed that the Superman – Batman Movie has been pushed two years ahead.
The “Man of Steel 2” is set to not be released until May 6th 2016, ten months after its original date. Warner Brothers said that production will take longer than expected and are allowing more time for developers to let their creative juices flow.
” …the filmmakers time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story,” said Jim Vejvoda of IGN.
When the film is available to the public, it will be the first time Batman and Superman will have starred in a movie together. It will act as a sequel to “Man of Steel” which grossed upwards to $291 million.
Of course fans of Superman or Batman wanted to know who would impersonate these age old superheroes; two of most prominent superheroes Superman and Batman. Ben Affleck has been chosen to be Batman and Henry Cavil as superman.
A previous trending topic on Twitter suggests that Ben Affleck is not the people’s choice: #BetterBatmanThanBenAffleck . Most fans feel that Batman should continue to be Christian Bale from the dark Knight trilogy.
There have even rumors that Affleck had landed himself and injury. Those assumptions have been put to rest.
According to the LA Times, fans will not get their wish of trading Ben Affleck, as it has already been confirmed and the cast will remain the same:
“Man of Steel 2 will feature Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane from Man of Steel are also confirmed to be returning for the sequel.” said Gina McIntyre.
It has been said that "Man of Steel 2" was pushed until later to make way for the big screen live action version of "Peter Pan". "Peter Pan" is set to be released July 17th, 2015.
Many people have been waiting years to see Batman and Superman go head to head. The age old question of "who is better?" will not be answered until two years from now. Sit tight and continue your regularly scheduled lives.
