Heidi Klum is the newest judge on 'America's Got Talent'

Heidi Klum, who is a model by the way, is the newest judge on America's Got Talent, according to Ann Oldenburg of USA Today.

Klum has been the host of her own reality show, "Project Runway," for the past nine years. "Project Runway" showcases the designs of aspiring fashion designers and how they would look on the runway.

Klum, 39, has modeled for Sports Illustrated, Victoria's Secret and much more.

Despite what people think, the show is not just about singing. It is about talent. Modeling is a talent so that probably means Klum will be scouting new models.

She is joining veteran judges, Howard Stern and Howie Mandel. Melanie Brown from the Spice Girls and Kara DioGaurdi are also joining the judges panel of the hit show. 

According to Reuters, 

 Broadcaster NBC said Klum, 39, adds a discerning taste to the jury panel.

"As we look to develop an act that will get the world's attention, we and the contestants will benefit from Heidi's international sensibility and understanding of what works in today's global entertainment industry," NBC president of alternative programming, Paul Telegdy, said in a statement.

Taping for new season starts today in New Orleans with early auditions.
