Greek Week is an opportunity for college students to come together as community and give back. The events at Sam Houston State University start on Sunday, Sept. 30 and end Thursday Oct. 4.

“It’s a big community service project where all Greek members come together to promote and unite Greek life and to give back to the community,” said Audrey Williams, Panhellenic President.

Anyone can participate during Greek Week. Non-Greeks are encouraged to attend as well. Greek Week holds various activities.

“We have many different events, everything from a blood drive to a chariot race,” Williams said.

According to Williams, they are raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. It is great to see Sam Houston organizations be involved with the community and give to local and national charities. Every organization can make a difference; Greek Week is a perfect opportunity to be a part of something big.

Greek Week is sure to be a success.
